Company Overview

Founded in 2015, Lorient Capital is a healthcare-specialist private equity firm focused on building scaled, category-defining healthcare services platforms. The firm targets founder-owned businesses at an inflection point and partners closely with management to professionalize operations, execute M&A rollups, and drive EBITDA expansion.

Lorient is known for being operator-forward, not financial-engineering-driven. The model is straightforward: pick fragmented healthcare services verticals with secular tailwinds, back strong operators, and compound value through disciplined add-on acquisitions.

Company Focus

Lorient invests exclusively in healthcare services, not biotech or medtech. Core focus areas include:

  • Behavioral health
  • Post-acute and home-based care
  • Specialty physician services
  • Revenue cycle management and healthcare IT-enabled services
  • Value-based care infrastructure

Key characteristics of their strategy:

  • Platform entry typically $5–20M EBITDA
  • Heavy emphasis on buy-and-build
  • Long-term orientation vs fast flips
  • Management teams retain meaningful equity
  • Centralized ops, finance, and M&A support

This is a roll-up machine, done cleanly and patiently.

Portfolio Companies (Selections)

  • ARC Health Partners — Multi-specialty physician services platform
  • Behavioral Health Group — Substance use disorder treatment services
  • Attain ABA — Applied behavior analysis services
  • DirectDerm — Tele-dermatology services
  • Valant — Behavioral health EHR & practice management

(Portfolio skews services-heavy, private, and deliberately under the radar.)
